Shirley (Member of the ChiRunning School)
I'm a 65 year old New Zealand woman who took up marathon running 3 years ago.
I live in Australia but don't have access to chi running groups/training sessions in my area. My training all comes from a Danny Dreyer book or YouTube .
I did have 2 chi lessons in NZ before my first marathon but that's all.
I love chi running and although I have dodgy knees I hope to keep running for years to come.
I'm a super slow runner ... I describe it more as a soft shoe shuffle. (9 hrs 22 for the first marathon, 9.30 for the second and 8.40 for the NYC marathon last November). But it's Chi running which gets me to the finish line and the promise of a huge banana split come ice cream Sunday - that keeps a girl motivated!!!
Paul
I literally hated running, then I took this workshop and now I run for twice as long as before, and whilst not effortless, the improvement to my running mechanics is incredible.
Fred
Chi running is good, I beat my last triathlon record injury free in September this year.
Sarah
I have to tell you that I really enjoyed my Chi running course. It has really made me think about my form (paid little attention before then!) and I have seen results in terms of time. I even came second in my category in the Basel Marathon 10k even though I felt super sick with a horrible cold. So thank you again for introducing me to this!
