I am passionate about movement. People should be able to move freely, be strong and reach the highest potential. Learning something new is not only for kids, we can all recreate ourselves and be as strong and fit as ever, regardless of your age or your current situation. Starting with your Original Strength and finishing with a mindful ChiRun, we can all do it. We were design to be strong and resilient, to live life actively moving without pain.
My love of nature and the outdoors lead me to a PhD in Biology from the University of Buenos Aires. I did research for many years in Argentina as well as in the US. When life gave me kids and a husband whose job made us move all around the world it was my running that kept me happy and helped me adapt to many places and different cultures (also helped me survive 3 kids, two cats and a dog! ;-)
My entire life has been about the outdoors, rock climbing in Patagonia, sailing, hiking but never running for too long. A few years ago I started swimming and became a decent swimmer. My running: I could run max 5km. If I ever tried more than 5k I would fall apart! Knees, calfs, shins… something would give, I was in good aerobic shape and yet I could not even attempt to run any reasonable long distance… There had to be something to it… just making more effort and enduring the pain could not be the answer. From my experience in swimming, where everything is about mechanics and techniques and less effort, I started looking around for someone to teach me good running mechanics. I have been practicing Chi-Running and Chi-Walking for the last 5 years, I can now run as far as I want and for as long as I want.
Train with me for your first race, whether it is your 1st 5k, 10k or marathon. Running should be easy and pain free.
